Once your membership is submitted it will be processed within 7 days. You will receive confirmation of your membership and a link for you to register for our members forum by email.

Who can join?

You can! The whole concept of ‘Friends’ of Breastfeeding is that we are not exclusively a group of breastfeeding mothers. We welcome anyone who recognises the importance of breastfeeding. You don’t have to breastfeed or even know anyone who does to be a ‘Friend’. Research shows that Dads and maternal grandmothers in particular play a major role in a mother having the breastfeeding experience she wants.

What am I signing up for?

That is entirely up to you! Some join to show support and lend their name to the activities of Friends of Breastfeeding, others are interested in getting involved in big and small elements of what we are doing, to make it all happen. We would like to support and welcome anything you might want to do to help improve support for breastfeeding in Ireland.

Fees

o    €10 per person

o    Membership will run from Jan-Dec each year. If a member has not paid by 1st February then their membership will lapse.

As a member you can:

o    Have your say on anything we are doing as an organisation through our members forum. Remember, because a lot of what we do is online, most people may not have met in real life. Please don’t be shy, feel free to get stuck in!

o    Vote to elect the committee at the AGM

o    Take a role on the committee and/or subcommittees
